Stop Losing Research Papers in Your Browser Tabs
URL: https://niche.jasonwang.us
Stack: Python FastAPI, SQLite, wiki-style frontend
What It Is
You know the feeling. You find a great paper, read half of it, tell yourself you’ll come back, and then it’s buried under twenty other tabs. Three months later you remember there was something useful in there, but you can’t find it. This is your research memory — every paper you read, every connection you make, every insight — saved, connected, and actually findable six months from now.
What It Does
- Save papers as you read them — arXiv, bioRxiv, anything you’re studying
- Highlight what matters — mark the insights that actually matter to you
- Connect papers — link Paper A to Paper B when you notice they’re talking about the same thing
- Search your memory — six months from now, search for “causal inference” or “protein folding” and every relevant paper you’ve ever read shows up, with your notes still attached
- Daily auto-ingest — new papers pulled automatically every morning
How It Works
You save papers as you encounter them. The system ingests new papers daily from arXiv and bioRxiv. You add your own notes and connections between papers. When you need to find something later, it’s all there — not scattered across browser tabs, but organized and searchable.
